2019 Lamborn Rosé
Lamborn “Mary-Hāna Rosé” Wine 2019
100% estate and organically grown Howell Mountain Rosé of Zinfandel
Produced in the saignée (bleeding off the juice after limited contact with skins) fashion and fermented dry, our Rosé is darker in color than many in the market today. The presence of color can be directly associated with flavor, of which this wine has plenty. We took the opportunity to name this pink wine after the two oldest, and only female, members of the fourth Lamborn generation, cousins Mary and Hāna, 16 and 15 years of age respectively.
Winemaker Heidi Barrett's tasting notes:
“Exhibiting the suggestive color of blood oranges, this 2019 Rosé of Zinfandel offers seductive aromas of bright strawberry and bramble accented with a hint of perfume. The palate is clean and fruit-filled accompanied by a hint of citrus zest. We fermented this delicious Rosé dry, leaving no residual sugar. What we have left is an enticingly crisp and lovely Rosé, a bit weightier than some thanks to the denseness of mountain fruit. A perfect sipper!”
